Our History
Jerry’s Auto Group has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 1979. What started as Jerry's Auto Body in Lennox, SD, was just Jerry, his grandpa, and his loyal dog working together to repair vehicles. Through determination and a vision for growth, Jerry expanded beyond auto body work into vehicle sales.
Shortly after opening the body shop, Jerry began selling a few cars under the banner of Jerry's Auto Sales. Over time, this small operation grew into a thriving business that now averages sales of 80 vehicles per month, solidifying its place as a trusted name in the community.
In 2004, Jerry took a bold step into the OEM market by acquiring what is now Jerry’s Chevrolet & Corvette Center in Beresford, SD. Through years of hard work and a passion for excellence, this dealership has become a regional icon, renowned as one of the top Corvette dealerships in the area.
A decade later, in 2014, Jerry seized another opportunity for expansion with the addition of Jerry's Chevrolet Buick GMC. While Jerry eventually sold the Buick franchise, the Chevrolet and GMC brands have thrived. Thanks to a dedicated and talented team, this dealership has grown from modest beginnings into one of the standout stores in the Jerry’s Auto Group family.
The story doesn’t stop there. In 2025, Jerry, along with his son Drew and daughter Samantha, is set to take the company to new heights by acquiring the group’s first location in Iowa: a Ford, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram dealership. This marks a significant milestone as Jerry's Auto Group expands its offerings to provide customers with an even wider selection of new vehicles.
