Job Title: People Operations & Payroll Coordinator
Location: TBD - Ideal location is Jerry's Auto Sales in Lennox, SD
Job Type: Part-Time with Full-Time potential

This role supports all four Jerry’s locations (Lennox, Beresford, Vermillion, and Sheldon) and is perfect for someone who loves organization, enjoys helping others, and gets real satisfaction from knowing everyone got paid correctly and feels supported.

What You’ll Be Rocking Every Day  

Payroll Wizardry 

  • Process payroll accurately and on time (you’re basically a payday superhero) 

  • Handle payroll changes, PTO tracking, bonuses, and deductions 

  • Answer payroll questions with patience, clarity, and a smile 

HR Sidekick to Our Teams 

  • Be a go-to resource for employees and leaders 

  • Help onboard new hires so they feel welcome from Day One 

  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions 

  • Keep employee records organized, accurate, and confidential 

Culture Champion 

  • Help make Jerry’s a great place to work 

  • Support birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, and recognition 

  • Assist with hiring coordination and internal communications 

  • Be a positive, approachable presence across all locations 

Compliance Captain 

  • Help ensure we’re following HR and payroll regulations 

  • Support policy updates and rollouts 

  • Protect sensitive employee information like a pro 

You Might Be a Perfect Fit If You… 

  • Have experience in HR, payroll, or office administration 

  • Love details but also enjoy working with people 

  • Can keep things confidential (like really confidential) 

  • Are comfortable juggling multiple locations and priorities 

  • Enjoy learning systems and processes (or already know them!) 

  • Are open to part-time or full-time work, depending on fit and availability 

(Automotive experience is great — but not required.)

Location Flexibility  

While Lennox is the preferred home base, this position can be located at any Jerry’s Auto Group location. Occasional travel between stores helps keep connections strong and relationships even stronger.
