Job Title: Master Automotive Technician - Level A Tech
Location: Jerry’s Chevrolet GMC - Vermillion, SD
Job Type: Full-Time

As a Master Automotive Technicianyou’re the expert in the shop—the one trusted with the tough jobs, complex diagnostics, and “how is it even doing that?” Repairs. We respect your skill, your time, and your experience. 

What You’ll Be Doing (aka the Fun Stuff) 

  1. Tackling advanced diagnostics (electrical, drivability, engine, transmission—you name it) 

  1. Performing complex repairs with precision and pride 

  1. Working on late-model GM vehicles using modern tools and technology 

  1. Helping mentor and elevate other technicians (without babysitting) 

  1. Communicating clearly with advisors so customers understand the value of your work 


What You WON’T Be Dealing With 

  • Guesswork 

  • Chaos in the shop 

  • Micromanagement 

  • Being underpaid for elite skills 


What You Bring to the Table 

  • Proven Master / Level A Technician experience 

  • Strong diagnostic skills (you actually enjoy figuring it out) 

  • GM experience or certifications = big plus 

  • ASE certifications encouraged (and supported) 

  • Pride in craftsmanship and a team-first mindset 

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
